A useful scope starts with the purpose.
Different formats ask for different kinds of care. Explore the work by its purpose, then define the right scope for your project.
01
Visual identity
Give a name a coherent visual expression.
Identity design connects a mark with the type, colour and layout choices around it. The aim is a usable visual vocabulary that can remain recognisable across different formats and applications.
A project can define a core identity, practical layout examples and a concise usage guide. The business name, audience, applications and existing assets inform the brief. Legal name clearance and trademark registration require their own appropriate review.
02
Editorial design
Make information rewarding to read.
Editorial design creates relationships between headings, body text, images and captions. A grid gives a publication consistency while allowing important moments to change pace.
The assignment can cover a brochure, a short publication or a digital document. Page count, supplied text, image permissions and final format determine the scope. Print-ready files, proofs and production coordination are agreed separately where needed.
03
Campaign graphics
Build a family of useful formats.
A campaign needs enough consistency to belong together and enough flexibility to suit each placement. A central graphic direction can extend into a poster, a social format and supporting communication.
The message, intended audience and format requirements define the design. Approved copy and licensed imagery are part of the input. Static artwork, editable templates and additional variants are different deliverables and should be identified in the brief.
Agree the work before it begins.
Deliverables, source material, review rounds, editing formats, timing and fees are agreed for the individual project. Bring the intended audience and the material available; the final scope follows the actual brief.
